Client goal: Create a show-centric loyalty destination around the network's mystery comedy-drama Psych that rewards fans for engaging in online activities, such as watching videos, sharing content, and reposting on Facebook and Twitter feeds.
Solution: Using Bunchball's Nitro gamification platform, USA Networks "gamified" the popular Club Psych website. Fans registered through the Club Psych website and earned points by watching videos, reposting content, playing games and browsing photo galleries. In addition, fans also earned points via an integrated iPhone application called "Psych Vision" that rewards them for checking in before, during, or after the show, and for entering secret keywords announced during the broadcast. Points can be redeemed for real-world mugs, character bobbleheads and other merchandise.
