Client goal: Enhance USA Network's branded casual games network, CharacterArcade.com, and create a non-disruptive and extremely engaging destination. After seeing the success with their sister NBC sites, USA looked to Bunchball to continue their goal of persistent brand interaction.
Solution: Bunchball helped enhance the Character Arcade casual gaming experience by making it possible for users to take on challenges to accumulate points, and win trophies to show off on their profile page. Users also have a reason to continue playing and earning points, with the ability to use those points to buy virtual goods for their avatar or virtual room and participate in the Game of the Week sweepstakes. USA also chose to integrate Bunchball's SocialLink technology, a widget on the Character Arcade page that gives visitors the choice of automatically updating their Twitter or Facebook feeds based on their gameplay and activities on the USA site.
Results: As soon as USA Network launched Bunchball’s Nitro system, it grew its Character Arcade registered users from 400,000 to 1 million. Now there are 3 million monthly unique visitors on the overall USANetwork.com web site. (Source: VentureBeat)
