The Bunchball team is seeking world-class application engineers to build out the end-user experiences around the premier platform for driving user engagement across web sites.

You will be driving the design and implementation of major new features in the Nitro affinity, virtual goods, and community modules, as well as the end-user administration of these features.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of several major modules in the Nitro platform
• Actively participate in the definition, maintenance, and enforcement of best practices in design, coding, and implementation across the entire development team

Required Skills/Experience

• 4+ years experience building and maintaining highly scalable web applications and back-end services
• BS or higher in computer science
• Experience using modern J2EE frameworks, including Spring and Hibernate
• Experience in SQL and database tuning and optimization. MySQL experience desirable.
• Experience with a variety of web application frameworks, such as Struts, JSF, or Spring MVC. Familiarity with Ajax techniques and toolkits such as Dojo, DWR or GWT. Adobe Flex experience desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and a desire to teach and learn
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to understand and master new technologies quickly
• Thrives on developing innovative ideas and executing them in a fast-paced, rapidly moving startup environment
