As Bunchball Helps More Enterprises Realize Hard ROI From Gamification, Industry Leader Tasks Blaney to Drive Demand and Awareness Efforts Worldwide
REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 11, 2013) - Bunchball, the pioneer and market leader in gamification, today announced it has named Erika Blaney its new vice president of marketing.
A veteran marketing strategist and executive who helped build some of the world's most recognized brands -- including Visa, Luna Bar and Franklin Templeton Investments -- Blaney will head Bunchball's entire marketing effort, from public relations and product marketing to demand generation and social media. She joins Bunchball as the company continues to broaden the motivational impact of gamification among enterprises aiming to build loyalty and engagement among employees, customers and partners.
Blaney arrives at Bunchball after four years at Axway where, as vice president of global corporate marketing, she built an integrated marketing organization that resulted in a 30-fold increase in sales pipeline activity, a nine-fold increase in branded search traffic, and consistent coverage of more than 20 new product introductions every year. She previously was senior director of global corporate marketing at Tumbleweed Communications, where she helped reposition the company prior to its 2008 acquisition by Axway. Earlier, Blaney held senior marketing posts at Cooley Godward, Certive (now C9 Analytics), Ketchum and Golin/Harris Communications.
"Few marketing executives possess Erika's strategic vision, her boundless creativity, or her ability to deliver marketing strategies that get results," said Bunchball CEO Jim Scullion. "The impact of Erika's innovative approach to marketing and branding has left a lasting mark in every organization she has been a part of, across a range of B2B and consumer brands. It's a pleasure to welcome her to our leadership team."
"Companies around the world are discovering how gamification drives business results, including increased revenues and better employee performance, and there's no better medium for that message than Bunchball," said Blaney. "As the gamification industry pioneer and its worldwide market leader, Bunchball is uniquely positioned to bring the motivational power of gamification to every enterprise environment, improving experiences for users and delivering tangible business value.
