Dreamforce 2013 Puts Gamification on Stage – With a Sharp Focus on Bottom-Line Results

Bunchball Founder and Best-Selling Author Rajat Paharia Headlines Gamification Conference Sessions at Annual Gathering of Salesforce Users

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Nov. 12, 2013 – As gamification becomes a fixture in more enterprises, Salesforce users from around the world will convene Nov. 18-20 at Dreamforce ‘13 in San Francisco to learn how organizations are engaging their employees, customers and partners with gamification – and driving a range of performance improvements, including many that directly benefit the bottom line.

At Dreamforce, no fewer than 16 conference sessions will focus on how companies are using gamification to motivate sales, service and marketing teams to work smarter, perform better and collaborate more. Headlining the week’s gamification track will be Rajat Paharia, author of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-seller Loyalty 3.0: How to Revolutionize Customer and Employee Engagement with Big Data and Gamification. Paharia is the founder and chief product officer of Bunchball, the pioneer and market leader in gamification, and is widely recognized as the father of the fast-growing industry.

Organizations that engage customers and employees via gamification see a 240 percent improvement in performance-related outcomes. These successes have prompted analysts to anticipate that the market for gamification will triple in four years, leading to widespread deployments in enterprises of all sizes.

Bunchball customers, including NetApp, VMware and, will spotlight their own success in sessions that explore real-world gamification deployments and best practices, many of which are built around Bunchball Nitro for Salesforce, which Dreamforce ’13 attendees can see in action at Booth N1231.

“The majority of VMware’s revenue comes through more than 50,000 partners. So helping our partners earn the VMware certifications and accreditations that in turn help them grow their business is a shared business imperative,” said Naeem Randhawa , senior manager of VMware’s global partner portal program. “With Bunchball Nitro, we’re creating highly customized experiences on our Partner Central portal and Partner University learning community that motivate these partner users to hone their VMware expertise. Shaped by big data from our social business platform and fed by our Salesforce content management system, these experiences are highly personalized and designed to motivate every partner user to achieve the goals they care about most.”
